Half life issue

I have been trying to get half life working on Windows 98 SE.
Whenever I launch it, this bluescreen happens after the sierra intro:

This is my configuration:

I am using VMware Workstation pro 25H2. On DirectX 8 and DirectX9 I use Nine. DirectX7 is as default.
