[Question] Why .gitignore shouldn't be uploaded to the repo? #22

Hi,

I'm curious why .gitignore shouldn't be uploaded to the repo. I'm finding it very useful for the development stage. It prevents users from accidentally uploading (e.g. __pycache__ directories) unwanted files to the repo. Is there defined development process anywhere in the documentation?

Cheers
