Add a column in the submission admin that tells if the submission is scheduled in the conference #4585
Completed: Add is_scheduled column to submission admin
Understand the existing submission admin structure
Find how submissions are scheduled in conferences
Add a column to show if submission is scheduled
Add tests for the new functionality
Commit and push changes
Summary of Changes:
Added a new "Scheduled" column to the submission admin that displays a checkmark (✓) or (✗) indicating whether a submission has been scheduled in the conference.
Files Modified:
backend/submissions/admin.py - Added is_scheduled method and column, optimized queryset with prefetch
backend/submissions/tests/test_admin.py - Added tests for the new is_scheduled method
Implementation Details:
The column uses Django's @admin.display(boolean=True) decorator for checkbox display
Uses prefetch_related("schedule_items") to avoid N+1 queries when loading the admin list
Checks if a submission has any ScheduleItem records linked to it
